Floating Presences
ACT 1
This series originates from pictures that came from dreams. I painted these visions and arranged them in a fresco of bodies, a silent opera in which the subjects are displayed bare, out of space and time. Lost in a transformed daily life, these characters are trapped, in the absenceof any context, and sway at the crossroads between the sacred imagery of icons and the profane one of allegories.
I call them floating presences…
